Kate West is the Co-Chair of Australasia, leading a workforce of 3,500 build environment specialists across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. With a background in both engineering and architecture, Kate has held roles as a Management Consultant and Project Director across Australia, the UK, and Ireland. Her career is marked by her ability to build high-performing teams, collaborate with clients at the highest levels, and deliver exceptional outcomes. Kate’s expertise extends to advising clients and government partners on large-scale city shaping infrastructure projects—spanning transport, energy, health, and city precincts—from concept to delivery. As a natural leader, Kate is driven to create a positive legacy for clients and communities. Her outstanding communication and technical skills, combined with unwavering commitment, define her approach. Notably, she led the Metronet Morley-Ellenbrook Rail Line project and played a pivotal role in the development of Joondalup Hospital as a public-private partnership. Kate is also an advocate for flexible work arrangements and actively mentors women and men in the industry. Her speaking engagements cover topics such as sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and women in leadership.
