EY

Maggi is a Partner in EY’s Financial Services Consulting practice in Melbourne. Prior to this she led EY’s Financial Services Risk practice in Singapore, where she lived for 8 years. Since coming out as a lesbian and a feminist at the age of 16, she has been an advocate and activist for women’s equality and LGBTQ+ inclusion.

Maggi is a “trisector athlete” having worked in the government, not for profit and corporate sectors in Australia, France and Singapore. She started her career supporting homeless young women and survivors of sexual assault in inner city Melbourne. She was then the founding CEO of an innovative social housing service providing accommodation and support to women and children escaping domestic violence. After moving to France where she lived for 10 years, Maggi became the Director General of an international humanitarian organization headquartered in Paris overseeing medical, community health, and water and sanitation programs for over 400,000 people in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.

Somewhere along the way she completed an MBA and found herself as a consultant in the financial services industry. In her “day job”, Maggi specializes in the areas of Risk and Regulatory Compliance for financial services. Her “gay job” is as Asia-Pacific Chair of Unity, EY’s LGBTQ+, gender diversity and allies network. She is also a member of EY’s Global LGBTQ+ Executive Committee.
