Hang Vo has over 25 years’ experience in the for-purpose sector leading national and international services. Hang is currently the CEO of Sacred Heart Mission, an organisation serving people experiencing homelessness and deep disadvantage. Prior to this, Hang was CEO of Whitelion Youth, and held various executive roles at Australian Red Cross and EACH Social and Community Health.
Hang is currently the President of the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) and a director with Respect Victoria. Hang previously served as Chair of the Victorian Pride Centre and a director with South-east Community Links.
Having come to Australia as a part of the Vietnamese refugee ‘boat people’ seeking asylum in the late 1970s, and being a member of the LGBTIQ+ community, Hang has first-hand experience of dislocation and exclusion which drives her deep commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
Hang holds a Bachelor of Social Work; Bachelor of Arts; Executive MBA; and is a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
