Lydia is a high skilled and experienced Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer. Her 20-year career spans the engineering consultancy, construction and mining industries across multiple continents. Lydia is the Head of Engineering at BHP Mitsubishi Alliance Coal Operations.

Lydia is an Order of Australia Medal recipient for services to Engineering and the youngest Australian to receive Engineering Executive status with Engineers Australia, highlighting Lydia's leadership skills and contribution to the resource’s profession. Lydia has a thirst for learning and holds a Bachelor and Master of Engineering, a Senior Executive MBA and sits on numerous industry boards.

With a passion for a diverse and inclusive workforce, Lydia has a particular focus on building team culture and training the next generation to ensure a balanced pipeline of talent to the resources sector through educational programs and initiatives.
