Dr Jane O’Leary is Diversity Council Australia’s Research Director. She established DCA’s research function in 2008, which creates evidence-based guidance for employers on how they can make their workplace more diverse, inclusive and equitable for a better Australia.
Jane and the broader DCA team provide guidance to over 1,300 member organisations, and together these members employ close to 2 million workers, representing 20% of Australia’s workforce.
Jane has a PhD, which focused on how leaders can create a diverse and inclusive workplace, and a Masters degree, which focused on women in leadership.
Prior to joining DCA, Jane held the senior policy position in the Workplace Gender Equality Agency assisting employers on issues relating to D&I. On the basis of her work in this role, she was awarded a Medal for Significant Contribution to the Australian Public Service.
